I need some help please! - out of ideas!

My juvenile amel has regurged three times since mid-July, each time he eats a food item normal for his size. Then I back off for a couple of weeks and things are fine. The first 2 times I thought were due to husbandry problems that have now been corrected. His last regurg was approximately 4-5 weeks ago. I fed him yesterday an appropriately-sized mouse, and out it came today after 24 hours. That's the record for his regurges. Temps are good, he's not being handled, I don't know what's left...

what about your cage setup....what are you using for substrate?
maybe there is some allergen that is making the snake nauseous.

Are you using any strong chemical cleaners. I had a one time problem with regurg across my entire collection when I moved the snakes into a different part of my house but it was due to colder temps and when i moved them back, it stopped.

If you can't think of any possible causes, then think it may possibly be PARASITES? Get a fecal to your vet. Can't hurt...don't wait too long b/c its not healthy for corns to continually regurge.

let us know what happens.

Feed smaller meals,pups or pinks less frequently.Too much heat is worse than low heat.Just use a heating pad no lights.Give at least 2 weeks time after regurge to feed again.Start with just one pinky per feeding.After several successful feeds try 2 pinkies.If you feel your snake is in grave danger of dying get it to a vet with some knowledge of reptiles...Paul..Good Luck..

I'll try backing off on some heat. What about small more frequent meals?
