iwi[bleep]wasrainin Oct 27, 2003 05:13 PM

My charlie (1 year old bearded dragon) accidently swallowed a small rubberband (the kind that usually come on the bags when you buy crickets) I was holding her hand feeding her mealworms when she seen the container of mealworms and jumped off my lap to get them, not thinking i grabbed the mealworm container very quickly and underneath it, there was a small rubber band that she got a hold of. that was two days ago and she hasnt pooped since. im goin to put her in the bath tonight to maybe get something out of her. any suggestions? I live in fargo, north dakota. and as far as i know there is no reptile vet near.

Help!!!

Thanks

If your beardie is very small, you probably have a problem. If it is large, it will probably pass it just fine. When it first occurred, you probably could have opened its mouth and removed it with tweezers or a crochet needle, but now it is probably to far down for you to take care of without a vet.
