For those who breed feeder critters

bigdee Oct 27, 2003 05:51 PM

Im breeding hissers and crickets. How do you all heat?, the thing is I will have 1 bin for hissers 1 for adult crickets 1 for small crickets and like 1 for the eggs to hatch in. So this is like 4-5 bins and I use human heating pads. I dont want to have to have 4-5 heat pads going. Is this how you guys do it or do you have a better way? Your help will be appreciated.

I don't breed crickets but i have raised them from pinheads.
As for roaches i have bred hissers.
For the above feeders i don't use any heat.
I live on the central coast and the weather is between 70-8f on any given day.
The heat from my cages seems to heat the house so it's suffient..
Depending on where you live and how cold it is determines whether you'll need heat..
