Is it better to let my BP have a hideout that is tight and slightly high, or is it better to have more room and lower to the ground? I'm having trouble finding a good size hide for my 4 foot guy...I just want him to be comfortable.

Mine lies under a piece of cork bark, open at both ends, about 4 inches high. When he's under there he's in contact with it so I think snug is better. My other snakes, when given a choice, seem to choose the snug hides, also.

I'll have to try some different stuff. Maybe put a couple of different sizes in there and see what he chooses...i was about to give up and go plastic, but it is too light.
