Breathing problems

sgoodson1 Oct 28, 2003 06:43 AM

Last night we came home and one of our females was breathing in a way that she blew out air out of the sides of her mouth along with labored breathing and the ribs or torso directly behind her head were really squeazing in when she would blow out. Never had a problem in 7 years she has a great set up and this came about in a matter of 2 hours . Any info would br greatly appreciated. And here in san antonio the vets suck i paid 120 dollars to listen to a emergency vet to tell me she looks fine but i dont know any thing about reptiles. So now im trying to get her in with a reptile vet if there is one here. Thanks Scott

I'm guessing here but it sounds to me like it could be a respiratory infection. If someone with more experience in here doesn't see and reply to this post soon I'd work on getting her to a vet ASAP. Even if you have to, I think a regular vet can prescribe some meds for her to treat a respiratory infection.

Hope everything turns out ok.
