I'm working on a new setup right now, and I'm thinking the same thing. I might get some syrofoam insultion and coat the outside of the tank with it. I'll probably go to Home Depot sometime this week to look into it. I'll let you know what I decide.
that would be great ! thanks .
It's cold in RI too, well sort of, and I don't want to turn on my heat but I wanted my pets to be warm. My house is old too with rattley drafty windows. I used window shrink wrap on the whole apartment and I have a space blanket duct taped over the window closest to the big snake cage. I can get it about 3 degrees warmer in that room than the rest of the house and I can keep the house in the 70's when it is 35 outside. Also I have foil and thin polystyrene on three walls of each snake cage, which I did awhile ago, and that seemed to help quite a bit. I hope some of these ideas might be helpful.
thanks for the reply !
what do u mean by foil, might be a dumb question ... srry
I should have been more specific. Aluminum foil like you might use in the kitchen.
