If I was to take a stab at it, I'd say it's a diamond back water snake. The pattern is washed like it's in shed so it's hard to say for certain. However, given the overall appearance and structure of the snake, I'm almost positive it's a Nerodia of some type.
From that pic I honestly couldn't tell you. What is the size of the snake and exactly where is the Ocoee? Andy

Assuming the Ocoee is somewhere in FL,.....
the snake looks like it could be a youngish Florida King (based on the head shape and the hint of pattern I think I can make out) however the tail is a little bit long/slender for a kingsnake.
My next best guess is some species of Nerodia (probably fasciata - making it a Florida Watersnake).
Either way, it doesn't look at all like a cottonmouth or any other species of venomous snake.

is in Eastern Tennessee and Northwestern Georgia. It actually looks to me like a Black Rat Snake.
it could be a Black Rat, hard to disagree with that.

I think it could be too many snakes. It would be easier for the person that took the picture to just get a field guide. Too hard to analyze that pic. Andy

It looks like just one snake to me.
LOL. Sorry, forgot my glasses. Blurred it into about 12 snakes. But seriously, I mean it looks like it could be Pantherophis, Nerodia, possibly Lampropeltis. I mean, black snake with that girth. No scale for size. And blurred. Andy
