does the cage have the same odor as your dragon?

My first guess would be some sort of fungus. Do a search on yellow fungus and see if anything sounds familiar. Otherwise, clean/sanitize the cage and all the furniture. Possibly your beardie buried some food somewhere.

What kind of cheese? I myself am partial to shredded cheddar. It's perfect for everything. Tacos, omelets, a stand-alone food, you can't go wrong with it.

Personlly I like some mustard with it
You can clean your cage and the accesoiries and bath your beardie , maybe it helps.
