My first clutch hatched!!! ^_^

xelda Oct 28, 2003 02:22 PM

I didn't think they'd turn out to be so pretty! I guess the father was more than just a high yellow. lol

They were really fast and really scared when I tried to move them to their enclosure. Squealing at me and everything. So I just let them climb out themselves (independent little girls) and then slid the divider in.

They made themselves right at home! It's like they almost instantly fell asleep when they felt the warmth on their bellies.

It's perlite. It was the incubation medium, not substrate.

Yes, I know! Their mama is my favorite of my leos. Yeah, I know it's hard to top Tommy. But she's the one that I've bonded with the most.

She was a little small for breeding when I bought her as a gravid female, so I was really worried about her getting eggbound. But nope! She pulled through. She buried her eggs so I wouldn't have known the eggs were there if I hadn't heard them plop inside the humid hide that night.

Cool! Congrats. My first egg hatched 2 weeks ago. It was so cool...
When he hatched he was 3.25 inches. Now he is 4 inches. You will be suprised how fast they grow.
