breeding boas

reedauto Oct 28, 2003 08:47 PM

this is my first attemt at breeding boas. i'm following the guide line in the boa constrictor manual. my question is when i introduced my male to my female he almost imediatly started to ride her around the cage. this only lasted a day maybe two. then he showed no interest for a week or so. the last two days they've been sitting in the water bowl together. my question is should i leave them together or separate them and re-introduce in three weeks? thanks for the input.

hes riding her because he is trying to court her, id seperate and reintroduce in 5 days or so, 3 weeks and you might miss your window.
