Mealies and Baby Leos, Question.

TebbyGecko Oct 29, 2003 09:20 AM

Hey guys,

I was just wondering.. does anyone else on here cut the heads off of the mealies before feeding them to their baby leos? Does it even matter? I do it because I heard the mealies will bite the inside of the babies throats which could obviously cause problems. Is this true? Thanks guys.

Really? No probelms? Hmm.. I may give it a try, but I guess you could understand why I'm so cautious. To me it's almost like.. "Don't put Leos on sand". Thanks!

just a myth...

Most likely the leos jaws or stomach acids will kill it before any harm is done...

Okay, great. I wanted to know if this was true or not because my babys have a hard time believing it's real food when it just lies there, lol. You don't realize how many times I've almost been vicously attacked trying to wiggle them. Just kidding, I'm too fast for them! HAH! Anyway, lol. Thanks everyone.

This rumor keeps popping back up ... just when you thought it was defeated for the last time!

Its good you were being careful, but you don't need to worry about that one.

Good luck with your babies! Cute, aren't they?
