I was just curious what part of nothern california do you live in.Also what you plan to do with the lizard your in search for like do you want one you can handle or one to observe of what ever.
They're for a scientific study that is investigating the species' role in controlling roach and locust populations. We hope for several control groups both for behavior analysis in the lab and observation in a natural, contained environment (30'x30' enclosure). If our studies can verify that the presence of alligator lizards substantially controls populations of various insect pests, then there is the possibility that they could become a protected species at the state or county level. Additionally, they may be used in the central valley to control produce pests instead of insecticides, which currently reduce the valey's clean air rating dramatically. In this case, a breeding program would be established.
