Contacting Deer Fern Farms?

avatar Oct 29, 2003 11:53 AM

I purchased a Saharan from Doug Dix at the Hillsboro show, and he has not been feeding since I brought him home. I've been trying to contact Mr. Dix about the problem for the last three days, but no matter what time I call, I get a busy signal (I e-mailed as well but have not yet received a response). I am wondering if the phone number on his website is no longer valid. Has anyone contacted him recently? If so, what phone# did you use? Any help would be appreciated.

When I tried repeatedly e-mailing him, I got the message returned to me saying that His mail box was full.... I did this 10 times and gave up....

and he's a really busy guy. He says the best time to contact him by phone is before 9 am or after 7 pm. He doesn't have a phone out in the barn where he keeps all of his uro's. And if the line is busy it's either because his wife in on the internet, he's checking his emails, or he's on the phone. He doesn't have call waiting. The number on his website is current and rings to his house - where he is at for the hours I mentioned above. I've successfully contacted him by phone several times about my uro's that aren't eating. The first time I sent him an email and I still haven't received a response. Like I said, he's a busy guy. ;E

Hi there,

We were at the Hilsboro show too (we had a booth across from Doug) and we got a pair of his Mali uros.

Have you tried dandelion greens and flowers yet? Have you tried superworms? Have you tried frozen veggies? Ours seems to be eating quite well...

I am sure Doug is just busy - he might even be at another show. But don't give up - keep trying to contact him. And certainly keep offering foods.

Hope this helps,
