what is the best way to avoid your gecko from loosing its tail? I have seen a lot of pics and many have lost thier tail.

The BEST way is to not handle it. Other than that, just be careful when handling. I have neve had one loose a tail yet, not even during breeding. I guess I've been lucky so far.

yea, just dont pull it off or grab it when handling, because cresteds have a tendancy to 'wrap' their tails around your finger.

our guy Jesse was with us a day stupidly I took him out and he seemed fine.....calm.........then he jumped hit the floor and went running under a closet door.....my eldest found him and as she reached down to get him he was so frightened he dropped his tail......
it was a VERY freaky thing, and I cried my eyes out.........

we have had abby since she was a TINY hatchling.....and she still has her tail..............

Jesse is a beautiful boy, he was magnificent with the tail! he is soooooooooo big! and handsome!
