Has anyone here ever have luck feeding their leo(s) Fluker Farms (or any other brand) freeze-dried crickets? I recently purchased a blizzard sub-adult.

Hi Ian,
I've tried freeze-dried crickets and freeze-dried flies, but none of them worked. Leos usually prefer foods that move (crickets, meal worms, and wax worms). You might want to give it a try, but it might be hard to get your leo interested. Good luck with it though!

Freeze dried crickets may be good for turtles, and maybe even frogs, but for the most part, not leos. Leos are like cats--they can be picky eaters and conditions have to be just right for them to eat. Freeze dried is definitely not on their list of favorite foods--they will lick the food before eating and will know something isn't quite right (even if you get a dish vibrator.) Besides fresh is best.
