In Canada you can pay $150.00 to $225.00 for baby childrens. Spotteds go for $80.00 - $150.00 each.

It's not so bad now, but a few years ago there were lots of people still calling their spotted pythons childrens. You still may come across some breeders and pet stores that label their spotteds as childrens. Make sure you know what you are getting.

I have owned both children's and spotteds. They both tend to have nice personalities and neither has a tendency to go off food. The only difference I've found is that hatchling spotteds are easier to start feeding.

Good luck

My womas are very docile, although at times they do have an extremely aggresive feeding response. If they catch a scent of food they will strike at anything that moves. All in all they are excellent captives and make great pets, unless you smell like a rat.
