questions about parazap

spec May 29, 2003 07:09 PM

I received my first shipment of parazap today and made the tea according to the directions for reptiles. My questions are these.
1. the directions say 2/3 cups boiling water to one tsp.
can I use a smaller amt because I only have one baby dragon (10 1/2 weeks old)
2. the dosage is in cc....Im not familiar with that and the syringe I bought to use has measurements in tsp and ml.
how much should I be giving him per dose...he was 86 gm last Fri when I took him to the vet

Zeffer absolutely loved it. I've never seen him drink so much. The first time I tried it he tried to refuse but when i got home from work tonight and gave him his 2nd dose he opened his mouth and was ready. Im skeptic by nature and didn't think this stuff would work. Looks like I may be wrong.

Yes, the easiest is to cut the recipe in half.....1/3 cup to 1/2 tsp......but you can cut it down further if you like to 1/6 cup and 1/4 tsp......ml is the same as cc

hhhmmm....my jar of Parazap has directions of a different concentration.
"Make a tea using 2/3 cup of water and 1/4 tsp of Parazap"

Following these directions, I use either 1/3 cup with 1/8 tsp or cut back even farther to 1/6 cup with half of the 1/8 tsp measure. There is some waste but we certainly have had excellent results with it!
If your jar is really labelled differently, maybe you should contact the maker, Val.
Goodluck!

actually the jar had no directions at all. The ones I used were the ones from the webpage but I will email the maker and find out what they reccomend.

Thanks

I have heard others who use parazap freeze the extra tea in icecube trays, thawing out cubes as needed. Can't recall how long it keeps frozen though. Try doing a search in the bearded dragon forum using 'parazap' as the search word.

I searched the forums as you said. I couldn't find anything on freezing the parazap tea. Anyone know how long this lasts?

Hi
i got 1 1/2 year problems with get rite of worms !!
after 4 times panacure one time ripercol a anit wormshot i stil got worms !!
after they send to europe parazap and i gave 7 days tea and 7 days no tea and then 7 days tea again i whas clean .
last time i even not scoped out sand .
that also a proof is kill the eggs ,what regulair medicine not wil do.
it only kill the worms and then after 14 days if the eggs of the worms hatch you give again panacure.
but if you give live prey and fresch greens you have always change to give him back the worms.
i dith a fecal exam at a very good veterian in the netherlands i think personal one of the best !!
named marja kik she not found any thing, she keep looking for 10 min lol
she think the panacure and the parazap toghter dith the trick but i know for shure the panacure not helpt a thing .
my beardie disliked it and there apeteit got lost and then the problems got worse thn before !!!
so i know in 21 days you sceptical feeling wil be gone !!
i give to beardies ofthend food when i give them liquids like water and tea then i keep this rule then i never give to much.
1 cc for 100 gram beardie !!
so 3 cc for a 300 gram beardie!
if youre ebardie want more then give it him if he wants it no big deal.
also when you made the tea pour it troug a coffee filter so the fibers r out the tea .
i alsways do a double filter r else sometiems it break and give a mess
goodluck
