little "white things"

darkclient Oct 29, 2003 06:40 PM

Well today i was getting ready for work when i noticed that there was a dead crick at the bottom of the tank that has a few frogs in it. No big deal. But I looked closer and saw it looked like it was in a sack of something so I went to scoop it out for a closer inspection but it fell apart in my hand and all these little white things flooded into the tank. I jerked out my hand and noticed the white things looked like little grains of rice. I have a good idea of what they are. it was a rather plump female crick and i think they are eggs does anyone know what they are? Oh and they moved a little but I think it was just the water that washed them to the other side of the tank.

That does sound like cricket eggs. If you put them in a moist container with some substrate, they will hatch, and you will have a bunch of free food for your frogs! This is what I would do.
