Why is my female attacking my male?

Ody Oct 29, 2003 07:20 PM

I just put my male in with one of my females to breed (they have before just fine). My male promptly jumped on here, but then she got out from underneath him. Now she is trying to bite his tail. Is that normal behavior??

Try in the spring, after they have brumated..
This isn't mating season for them.
Your female doesn't want any part of it.

I was under the impression that not all dragons brumate at the same time, is this not true? (I'm basing this on sites I've seen where they show their breeding setup, with some dragons brumating, and some in the middle of breeding). She hasn't started showing any signs of brumating yet, so I figured it was worth a shot. If she is acting the same tomorrow I'll seperate them again.
