I have a blue bar ambanja that will breed year round. But some of my other guys seem to be seasonal. I'm guessing that it may also have something to do with age. I am going to experiement with temperature to see if the part-time breeders become more receptive.

BTW, breeding a female 2-3 times a year is probably the norm, although I'm sure they are capable of more. It would be beneficial to the female if you kept breeding to a minimum.

Yeah guys are like human guys, ready and waiting for that cute girl. Girls panthers are like human girls also. Like my wife for example.... Receptive about twice a year. Alot of it depends on the temperature. If you do the winter/summer thing then they'll go on and off. Constant temps keep them going all year. I read somewhere that females of different locales are different in their receptiveness even in captivity but I don't believe it for a second.
