Tail question.....

jessica51202 Oct 29, 2003 09:37 PM

Ok so I noticed on my albino leo tonight that the very tip of his tail looks dead. It almost looks like he's been chewing on it. He's supplied w/ mealworms about twice a day...and gets fed crickets every other day....i've never had a problem like this w/ any of my other leos...it's hard to describe what it's like. I've tried soaking him....he has an uth, calcium, water.....I don't know why his tail would just die though...if that makes any sense. I'll have a picture up (if i can get a good clear one, I dont know how u people do it) within the next day. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Jessica

Are you gutloading crickets? If so, do you still leave food in the tank for them to eat?

One of my geckos (not leos) tip of its tail got chewed off by hungry crickets. Eventually, i have to amputate that part.

Anyway, i solved this problem by leaving a dish of cricket food in the tank, as well as gutloading so they dont starve.
