The weather in South Texas was nice today so I thought I'd go out and feed the mosquitoes. They are out in biblical proportions right now..anyway, I did find some things. All of these were in Dimmit County Texas in the middle of no where.
A nice little (4 ft.) atrox that was kind enough to let me shoot her picture..

Little green sucker sittin on the edge of the Rio Grande River. This little guy was the fourth Bullfrog I tried to shoot, they just aren't very cooperative.

I know, these aren't herps but I did catch these guys heading South towards the Rio Grande trying to avoid us gringos for Thanksgiving. So it's a scientific fact now. Turkeys have evolved to migrate into mexico during the thanksgiving season. Ben Franklin was right, they are smart....JP

you really know how to catch the detail, as well as the composition. What kind of camera do you use...I want to take good pictures like that :P Just kidding...it cracks me up when I hear that (especially since I don't hear it often).

Thanks John..your right on that question. The only real noticable difference in most digitals that I have used or seen is in their macro ability. Nikon seems to have the "out of the box" edge over many of the the other makers. I'm going to get a macro lens for my canon soon to remedy that problem.
