What temperature and for how long do you have to bake wood/logs etc. for killing any parasites or mites? Thank you in advance.
If you go out and find wood you have to make sure it’s cleaned very well (10% bleach and water, soak for a good 24 hours, then bake at 250 degree for 1 - 2 hours depending on how thick the wood is. A lot of the wood found outside our homes is infested with all types of bugs and even mites, as is most commercially purchased landscape mulch. Make sure it’s bug-free before it goes in the tank
