I bought a green anaconda about a week ago. I've left it alone except for several feeding tries (dead mice). I took it out for the first time today, held it for about 2 hours, it was very docile and calm. It is 47" and supposedly zoo-born. I pre-killed a mouse (the most humane way - put in a bottle - scuba divers who have gotten too much CO2 have reported its not an unpleasant experience). Anyway, I put the dead mouse in a sandwich baggie, and put it in a jar full of hot water and let it sit for 15 minutes. Dropped it by the baby anaconda and he ate it right away. What a relief. Air temp was 79F.
