2001 Southern Scrub Pics...

C. Elmer Oct 30, 2003 01:09 AM

Haven't had much time to spend on the forums lately, so I figured it was about time to put up some recent pics of my big baby. This is a 2001 male from Spitfire, measured him a few weeks ago at about 7' 4". He just got moved into a large melamine enclosure (4' by 2' by 2'), so now he'll have even more room to show off and be pretty. Just thought I'd share, let me know what you think,

What happened to your other scrub from your photo gallery?

That animal was actually was not mine, I just kept her in my collection for a year or so. She actually belongs to Spitfire, I just wanted to have some fun and experience keeping a relatively large scrub... and she was definately worth it!

Hey Christian,

How hard is it to take care of that scrub? Can you handle him yourself? How is cleaning his tank?

Cheers.

He's pretty easy to deal with. I've had him since he was pretty small, and just handle him frequently enough that he's comfortable around people with no trouble. Sometimes he'll get startled or defensive while in the cage, I've noticed especially when I moved him into a larger one, but he's still easy to deal with and no problem for just one person (at least right now). But I don't forsee any problems with him, long as I keep doing like I am.
