I have had success with wild caught mandarins but it is a heap of work. i use a large sweater box with cypress mulch substrate, a large water dish and a nice hide area. DO NOT MIST. It will kill them. DO NOT TREAT FOR PARASITES right away, it will kill them. keep in a closet dark and quiet and approx 75 degrees F. DO NOT LET IT GO PAST 85 for any peroid, It will kill them. dont try to feed straight away, wait 7-10 days, but make sure you keep water in there, is a good idea to soak them on arrival for a few hours, dehydration is a problem in thes animals. Use moist moss to keep humidity up in the box. Feed a rodent half the size of what you think they need. keep this up for 4 weeks, then add pancur to the rodent in half doses, i.e. 1/2 the rec dose/weight ratio. Check feces. start feeding a bit larger rodents, do not handle more than necessary, do this for 6-8 months then put in a vivarium and you should be ok. I have 3 w/c females who lay 6-10 eggs each year and are as docile as kingsnakes. good luck and btw do not take this as an endorsment of w/c i do not really believe in that. kurt
