Does anybody out there know whether it can be harmful to a female frog or toad if it does not mate and thereby gets rid of her eggs?

I don't really know if there's a similarity here, but I know that female fish do expel unfertilized eggs along with their wastes. Since, like frogs, fish only have one anal opening, maybe they will do the same thing..?
Hopefully, someone else can give some insight here.
