Is pumpkin ok to feed to a uro?

Sunfox Oct 30, 2003 11:50 AM

I think pumpkin is related to squash and I know those are ok. I just want to make sure. I've got lots of leftover pumpkin from carving and I thought it might make a good snack for Ra.
Is it safe for him to eat?

Thanks all

I don't see why not. The seeds are probably really good too.

According to www.beautifuldragons.com (hi, Veronica!), pumpkin is ok occasionally: 1:2 Calcium to Phosphorus ratio, high water content, moderate oxylates (that bind calcium).

Not ideal, but not bad, either!

It didn't say anything about the seeds, though.
