k she has been orange for aboout 5 weeks and there has been no eggs whats up whith that?

I believe they can develope their breeding colors (nuptial colors) first, like ovulation, this is when they are ready to breed ! She probably became gravid right after that, So probably anytime !!! Does she look ready ? Is she digging, or has her appetite decreased? Mine is ready anytime, within the next week, and she has no interest in food right now, and looks very tierd, or uncomfortable ! :0) Eve

mine looks like that but eats 2 crickets every 2 days thought
but her and the male get feed every other day of about 25 crickets

actually after confiring with my mom she says shes been orange since march 25th or so, and she was fat before that...mine looks like yours though my moms justgetting worried about it but she is very miserable looking and mopey

Thats what I meant when I said, uncomfortable and tierd, you say miserable and mopey, :0) Shes probably due to lay soon, unless ya see them acually mate, it is hard to pin point the acual date. Mine also seemed quite fat way before she even got orange, Just hang in there awhile and see if the digging starts afew days prior to laying, make sure you have some damp sand somewhere in there for her, to lay. And if by any chance alot of time goes by and she does not look well, gets worse, than have her checked for being eggbound ! I wish her and you guys alot of luck, let me know if she lays ! :0) Eve
