Inner ear infection in a bearded dragon?!?! Load of crap??

lindsay78 Oct 30, 2003 01:08 PM

just got an email from a friend with a baby beardie, telling me about the
babies 'inner ear infection'.
She took the baby to the vet, because she found him leaning on his log.
And the vet 'diagnosed' the baby with an 'inner ear infection' --which I
don't believe at all.

I have never heard of an 'inner ear infection' in a bearded dragons....so it
must not be common at all --

The symptoms sounded more like a Vit B definincy.

This baby beardie is currently being treated for an inner ear infection.

what do you think??

Its pretty common in turtles, but I don't know about bearded dragons.

Well...
It's possible, if the dragon is walking in circles, kind of wobbly sometimes, that might be an ear infection, (happens in leopard geckos.) Anything else, well... might be a load of crap, as you suggest. Not that I'm a vet or anything, of course.
Just my two cents.
Good Luck!
