Is it possible to tame an adult rhino that is not handleable?
Any suggestions how?

Do you have experince with rhinos/cyclura or other large pissed off lizards. Your answer would determine what I would suggest. If you answer no, get a hatchling or look for one more tame. It will be more enjoyable relationship
All I keep thinking is "you're gonna get bi-it"

Yes it is possible. I have a little business here where I am taming large reptiles and I have tamed them some. They are naturally a little aggressive, but it can be done. The one thing I will say is expect to get BIT. Every reptile I own I have allowed to bite me once (ok one got me twice) but they are all dog tame now and roam the house including my rhino.

some are, some aren't, but a routine of warm baths will usually muffle even the meanest rhino.
