bps wont feed!!!

labialpitstop Oct 30, 2003 03:24 PM

OK, I need some feedback on this one.

I work at a pet store (whose name will go unmentioned) and we got 4 new bps in about 3 weeks ago. Only 3 have eaten so far. Here are the methods that I have used so far

placed them in a box and closed the lid with the mouse enclosed (pre-killed)
placed them in a pillow case with the mouse
wiggled the mouse in front of them
lightly tapped them on the nose with the mouse

They are kept warm and have lots of hide spots and space to move around. They are also in a low traffic area. I know that they can go for quite some time so I am not to worried and have not noticed any weight loss, they look quite healthy. Any sugestions? Thanxs everybody!

Might try a live then move to pre-killed.

My biggest problem was that I wasn't getting the pre-killed mice hot enough. I lay them on a light fixture for about 10-15 minutes (gets about 102 degrees I think, wiggle in front of my BP and then drop in front of him. When it hits the ground it strikes.
