Bad shed? weird place on her head.

Bezzerra Oct 30, 2003 03:59 PM

I got a ball python from an aquaintance and have had her for about 2 weeks. She is absolutely beautiful! I've noticed that on top of her head, she has a spot that is duller than the rest of her. Could this have been from a bad shed? If so, what can I do to help her remove it?

Thnaks!

Could be. A piece of retained skin usually has a bit of a ruffled edge though. Could just be a dull spot.

A good soak might do well. In the future, you can provide a humid hide for her shed cycle.

Good luck to you and your snake,
GratefulFred
