I still don't have my Uro yet, but I plan to use a product highly recommeded by my Ball Python's vet.

Every uro supplement I see has the same stuff: calcium and vitamin D. I just take my own calcium pill and multi vitamin, grind a bit off, and dust some lentils with it. Seems to do just fine. Staves off the MBD pretty well.

Hi,
I give my Uro food with a dusting of either a reptile phosporous-free calcium w/vitamin d3 or a reptile multi-vitamin, which has calcium and vitamin d3 in it. I do this every other week or so. I have never read on any of the many care sheets that you should give them vitamin supplements more than every other week. If I am wrong, someone please tell me! Oh, I also give him some Rep-Cal adult bearded dragon pellets every now and then, no more than once a week. And I am going to pick up some bee pollen from the health food store soon, since someone on here said it is a good snack for uros. Hope this helps Oh, and here's a pic of my little guy out for a run. Hopefully I can get some new (and better) pictures soon, and also of the new female I'm getting from Deerfern Farms for him.

Sarah-

I've seen on the Karnivore care sheet on the Uromastyx page here on Kingsnake that a once a week dusting of multivitamin is fine. My vet told me the same thing, though I trust him less since he knows igs and beardies more than uros. Overdosing is as bad or worse than underdoing it, so you may be fine with every other week.
