I have had mine free roaming for a couple weeks now since they are too big for their tank and its taking me a while to get their enclosure done. So I put up 2 dead trees in my room (didn't disinfect think htat might be bad) put the trees about 6 or 7 inches from the wall and then mounted the uvb light on the wall where they bask the most. These trees are close to my book shelf and their i set up a clamp light for them to bask with, I set them up a pool next to that with a couple towels around it so they can get in easy and a couple big rocks in the corners so they can get out I put one tree in the pond with another basking light hooked up for that one and I also put and air stone in (they really seem to get thier jollies sitting on that) I keep the thermastat in my room around 25 - 30 celcius in the day and 22 - 25 at night. They have been very happy with this set up they are much greenier and have both shed. also I put a couple old blankets around the bottom of their trees incase they fell out so they dont hurt themselves, LOL and they fall out quite a bit. They also really like climbing my bookshelf and usually sleep on that at night. I do put in black bulbs at night for heat for them but usually they are on the bookshelf I think becuase its in front of the heater and the books get pretty warm at nigh. Sorry so long.

ps oh yea I just added a humidifier to my room to keep up humidity for them too, I usually run it during the day for 5 or 6 hours.
Thanks so much for your help guys.
If I wanted to attach a basking lamp on my wall would I just buy a fixture that I could nail/screw into the wall and put the heat lamp in there? How far away should it be from the tree(s)?
Should I have a UVb bulb in the same area? I am thinking about using one of those desk/computer lights you can buy at like Wal Mart or something cause those attach to the wall easily. Is that a good idea?
I let mine free roam in their own room, I wouldn't keep them any other way. For basking sites I have lamps hanging from the ceiling. As far as UV is concerned, as long as your allowing for free roam you should setup some basking sites near a window, even filtered through the glass, your going to get better UV then from any lamp. In the summer I open the windows for unfiltered sunlight. Here in Maryland the pond provides more then enough humidity, I need a de-humidifier to keep the paint from peeling off the walls. Plenty of live ficus trees and greenery will ensure that your waterdragons feel comfortable enough to stay out in the open, else you can expect them to hide all the time.
