I don't think you should "cover" the cage floor,. but rubbing it liberally into the snakes' scales is advisible. And sprinkle it on the cage lightly, but cover this coating with newspaper. Sevin is mostly a safe agent to use, but you don't want her tongue being able to come into contact with large amounts of it. This could then stick to her tongue and be delivered to her sensetive jacobsons organs and this may be damaging. So use caution with how much you put and how accessible it is to her.
