JaredHorenstein Oct 30, 2003 08:10 PM

Here are a couple pics of a project that i am working on. This is the founding male that started my group.

Here was bred to a normal female in 02.
Here is a pic of 3 of the striped offspring.

Nice snakes! Your male looks a lot like one of my females. Does he have any markings on his belly?

What makes a black backed ball python? my BP sold to me as a normal looks exactly like those, i dont know whats so special about them. im not trying to flame, i just dont notice a difference. how much are they worth? i paid 40 bucks for my 03 hatchling.

I guess Jared was pointing out that his snake produced babies with the same features, making it a possibly inheritable pattern. I don't think this happens with most black backed balls, so maybe something else is genetically going on? I guess he could answer better than me. I personally didn't say anything about thinking that mine was anything other than normal, just that it looked like his and had another question about the pattern...

I'm not sure if this answers any of your questions?

Reminds me of this female I am raising. I love the black backs that blush out to the nice tan color. Hope mine proves out like yours did.

Not sure why you think it is. It looks more like a Burgandy Hypo to me.

What makes you think its a Black Back?
