Seriously though...yes, by nature they are very flighty. Once they get a feel for a new environment, and who you are, they will calm down a lot. Still don't trust them outside, or with your cat.

See i have a male iguana that will plop on me and lay there...
I bring Kiwi(My iguana)To scewls,churches,Places where kids go....I thought a collard lizard was pretty and was wondering.ok im here everyday all day if i held the collard everyday would he be really tame?

but I don't leave them like that too long in fear they might jump off and land on their head. But, for the most part, if you hold them daily, they will be fine.

haha, my little girl is very friendly, wyhenever my mom holds her she runs right up and sleeps underneath the collar of my moms shirt, maybe collareds like to sleep under collars. lol
