fat tail gecko problems

skript May 29, 2003 09:18 PM

i've had a fat tail for about 2 weeks now, and it still refuses to eat, the temperature for the tank is fine, and i've tried everything, all it does is stay in the hiding spot all day and night, if anyone has any ideas or thoughts, please let me know.
thanks

do you have a humid hide??? its really important for ATFs. it may take a while for it to settle, dont worry till it starts losing weight.

i dont have a humid hide for my fat tail gecko, can you give me instructions on making one, or a site with directions so i can make one for it?

get a plastic container with a lid, and cut a 1 1/2" hole in the lid. file the container with either moist vermiculite, or moist perlite. then just put it on the warm side of the enclosure. it should just be a hide that the gecko can go into to get the humidity it needs. or if the need accures it can lay eggs in it.
