Saw an ad for boa being supplemented with calcium and vitamins.... Is this common practice? I have't seen any discussion or comments about this before. Does that just reflect on the quality of the food they are feeding?

"Does that just reflect on the quality of the food they are feeding?" Id assume or the person is one of those vitamin fanatics. I dunno in all these years I have only heard of a couple people doing that, I think what some people suppliment for is loss of sun, I use uvb floresant lights in my cages for day night cycles, they seem to enjoy laying close to them but as far as any benifits ive never seen anything that would leave me to believe one way or the other, so i dunno, jason

I used to use flukers Cali poweder. I had aquired some snakes and the previous owner used it on them from day one - so i figured id continue. Its all a matter of personal preference really. I have not seen any benefits to using the calicium. My snakes that do not use it look/act/seem just as healthy as the 2 that do use the Calc.
