Update an albino *Flame* brooksi/floridana..(PIC)

bluerosy Oct 31, 2003 10:11 AM

These are the only "true" amel floridanas that I know of. They originated from a wildcaught pair that produced these white and pink floridanas. A zoo keeper in calif got a hold of the male and bred it with Lloyd Lemkes flame brooksi while Lloyd was still alive. This was a joint project between Bill Corwin and Lloyd Lemke. The hets produced the only two known adults that are in my collection.

This year I produced 1.4 albino Flames.

I also bred the male albino flame to a female anery floridana form BHB and out of only three eggs the female threw one anery. So that means these are a possible snow or they just carry the anery gene.

Adult

This years baby...you can see where the pink scales are statring to come in:

I always thought Anery and Axanthic were the same thing when it came to Floridana, but you have ads for Axanthic, and mentioned Anery in your post.

The anery I mentioned is from BHB Enterprises (B. Barzyk) and has yellow pigment....hence anerythristic.
