Carl,
. I read your post with great interest. My recent thinking has been that BRBs need quite a bit of cooling to successfully breed. At least I thought my recent poor results were due to not cooling enough. Now I am wondering?? I have noticed that south Florida BRB breeders who do cool usually have their babies later in the year than the rest of us. They must start their cooling late and not introduce them for breeding until they have them cooled. BTW, my Spanish speaking translator has not been able to do very much with that information you sent to me. I think I need to find someone who has a technical background and speaks Portugese to get it accurately translated.

>>I'm in South Florida and I don't really cool mine. I did the first few years but then I found that they would begin courtship around mid September to mid October anyway.
>>I had two adult males that I kept together for several years with no trouble. Then, on 9/11/01, that fateful day, I heard noises in their cage. One of them (the smaller of the two) had the other male pushed into a corner and was clearly trying to push him out of the cage! I took the aggresive male out and introduced him to one of the females and they were tail wrapped literally within an hour. They mated, or courted constantly for days. The other female was next with the same results.
>>I did nothing different and it was still really hot down here when this occured. Last year was the same.
