my guess would be the flooring he's using
if he's using newspaper it's the ink rubbing
off on the bottom of the snake or dark wood
chips the color is rubbing on off on the bottom of
the snake, and if you don't clean the feces up
that's REALLY BAD FOR THE SNAKE! and could cause
some discoloration
try some of the white stuff they use for gerbils
and mice, ferrets etc.
if it has something to do with the snake I'm not
experienced enough to know?

Thanks for the help...but...
He is using the aspen woodchips made for reptiles so it's not the flooring. otherwise he keeps her cage SPOTLESS!! Any other ideas?? anyone??

One possibility is that when the snake is getting ready to shed, the color of the snake combined with the cloudy shed layer may look greenish. I have a mexi-black whose belly turns a weird color just before he sheds.

ive had juvi albino corns that had a blotch or two of bright green bile seen throgh the transluscent belly scales. sorry to say they did not survive. Chris

I have a hypo brooksi that I noticed turned greenish on the belly. At first I thought it was the reflection of the uv light...but nope. I think what happens is that my brooksi has a yellowish underside, and when they are getting close to sheeding...the first stages when it produces the cloudy liquid the yellowish color apears greenish...because the liquid has a bluish tint to it...and if you look an a color wheel yellow and blue does make green.

I bet you king has a yellowish underbelly...but to be sure keep a record of when the green shows up...and I bet it does around 2 or 1.5 weeks before the king sheds.
