So what is pumpkin color???

I would consider this an orange color. I had a freind call it pumpkin.

lol ok I deserved that one! But I hwas wondering why people were useing pumpkin instead of orange. I didnt know if it was different, like more peach or something I dont know.

I believe 'pumpkin' refers to a deeper orange (much like your crestie). Orange would be more like the color of well..an orange..which isn't quite as dark as pumpkin. THis of course is just my 'guess' (with years of colour theory and artistic expression for backup LOL)

People often call the same crested gecko morph by different names. Some breeder’s will even exaggerated it in order to get more money. Just go buy what you like, who cares what it is called. If you think its pretty, then it’s worth it .

As far as the pumpkin goes you are right LdyPayne it is usually a darker orange, I think of it as pumpkin pie like color. However remember cresteds can change their color to a degree in a matter of minutes. A pumpkin color gecko can brighten up and be a bright orange gecko no problem. So I just call them orange, if they have stripes it’s an orange tiger. Nice and simple…hehe.
