New baby burm not eating!!! Help!!

AJD Oct 31, 2003 07:09 PM

OK Well I am posting yet again.

Along with my first new burm's aggresive attitude I now have a new problem. She now has refused 2 meals. I got her at NARBC in Illinois. She has been eating frozen adult mice but she will not strike at them she will only eat them at night when no one is around. She has ate twice and has now refused my last 2 meals. Please give me advice on what might be wrong.

I have 11 years experiance in the hobby. I have checked all of her vitals and had a fecal done. She is bright eyed and is drinking and defecating.

Should I be worried.

Thanks again
AJ Dekker

Hi..Well it is only 2 meals. Even the best eaters stop eating sometimes. Give her sometime. Try different food, try different times of the day and night. Make sure she is warm enough. Is she on the warm side all the time? Here is a method that works well. Take a few pieces of news paper and crumble them up into a mound, or cave kinda shape, she will use it to hide, it works great for non eating balls.

Let us know what happens.
