15 good looking Cape eggs today, pics*

gofer May 29, 2003 10:34 PM

Well, it's been killing me, but two weeks after shedding my het for albino cape finally laid 16 eggs, with one appearing to be bad, the rest appear to be fertile so far. I hope your capes and/or eggs are doing good Jonel and Jeremiah, thanks again for your help. I just had a great looking flash put on my site, but it's not working at the moment, so i'm off to work on that now.

Have a good one,
Gregg F.

Whew, my fingers were getting cramps. Congratulations, that's a nice big clutch for a first time breeding female cape. That's a big clutch period for a female cape. Keep me in mind if you have a surplus one. I wasn't going to get any albinos or het capes to add to my Steve Weissman normal pair, now look what you've done. You do realize I have to put all the blame on you when I tell my wife or she finds out I'm getting one in the future. Steve at Santa Cruz Reptiles doesn't post pics or do posts much if at all that I've seen the last few years. It's nice seeing people putting up and discussing some of his snakes.

and i'll take the blame for you if the wife is not happy with more capes, lol, i know mine is not happy about all the snakes i've been buying lately...this time of year is great. I'll keep you updated on the eggs and i'm pretty sure i can get you a pair when the time comes.
Have a good one, and thanks for the great comments.

Yes, i am very happy with that size clutch. NOw i'm just hoping to get her back into shape. I might not breed her again next year, all depends on how she does in the next few months. She is a very large snake, but hopefully i can get some of her babies to be even larger, lol. I don't know why, but i really like large pits. I hope to get some Northern PInes this year and see what they will grow up to be...
Have a good one Jason,
