Uncommon coloration in common snapper?

rainforest May 29, 2003 10:45 PM

Can anyone tell me if this orange coloration to the common snapper on the right in the picture is unusual? The snapper on the left is a normal one that I have. I would be interested in your comments. Thanks.

its unusual, but not uncommon. if that makes sense. many hatchlings get those nice oranges that last up to about 4 inches, then they fade to a cream color. one of my snappers looked just like that one and now is colored fairly normally.
