Tank size?

Insideoutsider13 Oct 31, 2003 08:31 PM

I am looking into getting a tank for a breeding pair of leos. I already have a small 15 gallon terrarium that I am going to use for the hatchlings. Does anyone have any advice on what size tank that I should use for the breeding pair? I was looking into getting a 40 gallon breeder for a pair or for one male and two females. Is that a good idea? and also, does anyone know or have experience with good sites to order geckos from or supplies from online? Low prices are always a bonus!

Hi

You could use a 20 gallon long tank for a breeding pair or three some.

The fifteen gallon tank would be ok for babys, but as mentioned in a post above, babys should be housed seperately so as not to take a chance with tail bitting.

You could section off your fifteen gallon tank, but you would have to have a basking part and cool part for each little one.

Take Care, TLB
