Broken Tail

I have had my CWD for about 2 months now. I rescued her,she used to live ina 30 gallon tank for her 3 years of life. i now have her in a 4 ft by 2 ft by 2 ft cage. she has a habit of plummeting from her basking spot to her water bowl. usually she seems ok, but i dont see much of an explanation for it. well one of the times she did it recently she broke the end of her already deformed tail.(it is deformed because she has deformed toes, tail and jaw, probably MBD,rememebr I rescued her)ive been putting neosporin on it, but it doesnt look too much better,i tried making a makeshift splint for it,but she whipped it off. there are no veterinarians in my area who specialize in herps,so im out of luck. anyone give me advice?

Dragon, my CWD, broke half his off tail about 2 months ago... I'm not exactly sure how he did it but I remember it looking really bad, with blood & all. I put neosporin on it every other day & it still took about 1 1/2- 2 weeks to look like it was actually beginning to heal. Now, a few months later, he already has about 1 inch of tail regrowth that is black & smoother feeling that his original tail.
