Ectotherm dragon food?

SKY_NAS Nov 01, 2003 09:57 AM

I seen at a popular reptile suppy store on the web, a product called Ectotherm dragon yummies, they claim these are a well balanced diet with real crickets, and all the nutrients a beardie needs. Has any one tried this stuff with their beardies? I am always concerned about trying something new, although since my picky eaters wont eat the T_rex stuff or Zoo med, I am eager to find something that will work.
Thanks,
Sky

Ectotherm was what I used to get my bearded dragons to start eating pellets. Some people report success, others say theirs wont touch it. I have 12 out of 14 dragons that are eating it. They don't relish it, but in a salad, I usually don't find any left. I also found that, adding a little baby food to your salad will entice your bearded dragons to eat it more.

All My dragons love it. And it eliminates the needs for a thousand crix a week!

I tried the Ecto first (smells really good. have to keep refrigerated) but he really didn't go for it. We would put a little on his greens every day and notice that they are gone now so he is eating it.

He didn't like the ZooMed either (soft and moist my foot) but has started eating RepCal on his own (Woo hoo) after a little encouragement from a paperclip (making the wet pellets move)

We notice a hugh difference in the amount of crickets he eats and he looks great.

Still having trouble with his poop but I think that might still be from the medication.
